米寿は、88歳のお祝い。
テーマカラーは黄色と金色。
「八十八」を漢字で書くと「米」になることから、
88歳は米寿と呼ばれるようになったそうです。
今回は、
稲穂が実ったような黄金色の文字にしました。
背景には、
苗のグリーンと大地を思わせる茶色を混ぜた赤を添えています。
88歳という実り豊かな時を、
穏やかに明るく彩る
お祝いアートになりました😊
Beiju is a celebration of the 88th birthday.
Its symbolic colors are yellow and gold.
The character for “rice” (米) can be formed from the kanji for eighty-eight (八十八),
which is said to be the origin of the name Beiju.
For this piece,
I created the calligraphy in a golden color,
inspired by ripened rice ears ready for harvest.
The background combines touches of green, like young rice shoots,
and reddish-brown tones inspired by the earth.
It became a celebratory artwork
that gently and brightly honors
the rich and fruitful season of life at 88 😊
