Hiragana is one of the fundamental writing systems of Japan. Particles such as の(no), に(ni), and や(ya) are similar to prepositions in English and are often considered to have little meaning on their own.
However, without these small characters, words cannot connect, and sentences cannot exist.
This artwork sheds light on the hidden yet essential role of these particles. By inverting them and bringing each character into focus, the work transforms what is usually unnoticed into the central presence, revealing the beauty and importance of the unseen connections that hold language together.
